Installation of a 40mph speed limit on the A386 around the Mary Tavy Inn/Lane Head junction: an update

The process to install a 40mph speed limit on the A386 at the southern end of Mary Tavy village is progressing. While we still do not have a completion date for the work (other than sometime in the 2024/25 financial year), notices of the change have now been prepared by Devon County Council. These notices are attached below and should be published in the Tavistock Times Gazette on the 1st August.

It was unclear until recently how the work would be funded and there was a possibility that the Parish would be asked to make a financial contribution. We are pleased to say that this will not now be the case & that the entire project will be funded by Devon County Council.
