19th Century Map of Mary Tavy Parish
An Ordnance Survey map dating from the 1880’s was stored in the Reading Rooms in Mary Tavy for several years. In the summer of 2022 the Parish Council had a digital image made and then put the original map into safe storage in the Devon Archive in Exeter. The costs to the parish was kept to a minimum thanks to a localities grant from our then WDBC Ward Councillor, Terry Pearce.
A copy of the map was made and is now on display in the Coronation Hall. The Hall Committee hopes, at some point, to be able to access some old photographs that are contemporary with the map.
The attachment below contains the digital image as a zip file. The unzipped image is around 84Mb and the zip file is 66Mb….please be aware of the file size when accessing the image.
